I went here during the memorial weekend and have always enjoyed the treasures I find when coming to the area once a year. But this time I will NOT be coming back. I spent 2 hours walking around and found a gorgeous shell I was going to use in my wedding. The lady with dark hair and glasses that I think owns the place said she would hold it for me. I came back to her rudely telling me she sold it to someone else and said first come first serve. She could of told me right away to purchase it instead of being a you know what. This is bad bad business. I may look young but I have been to many antique stores and stores similar to this place that have NEVER been so disrespectful to customers and sold items they were holding for them. I DO NOT recommend this store.
Lots of stuff and collectibles just nothing i really wanted.
As stated, this customer has enjoyed our market and the treasures she has found every year. Had the customer told me she would be back HOURS later and that the shell was for her wedding, I would have taken her contact information and held it for a greater length of time. (I enjoy helping people find décor for their special event.) Typically, customers pay for merchandise before leaving the building. Since she was no longer shopping in the building and had not been in the building for hours, I did sell the shell to another customer. I would love to have sold her the shell for her special day. If you are shopping for a special event, please communicate that at the time you ask a merchant to hold merchandise so all parties understand the meaningful nature of the item.
Having been to many similar businesses around the country I was surprised at some of the overpriced items for such a rural area.
Smelly. Old buildings filled with oldy moldy smelly crap.
